A well-seasoned physiotherapist with over 40-years of experience and long time practicing yogi, she is excited to join the passionate team at Lost and Found Yoga and Pilates to offer a comprehensive physiotherapy service that considers the whole person.

Having clinical and leadership experience across the spectrum of care (acute, long-term care, home care and private out-patient practice) she understands the complexity of health care system and the challenges clients face in their recovery journey. With a biopsychosocial lens, assessment and treatment is holistic and focused on finding the potential underlying drivers of the problem. Goal oriented treatment is collaborative, based on the current best practices. Where appropriate physiotherapy treatment sessions will include motor control relearning for the area of injury following the Pilates repertoire allowing clients to get back to what they love with greater confidence and self-awareness. In addition, various hands-on techniques, modalities for pain and mind body disciplines may be used to improve movement, pain management, restore function, and health.

Karen is a lifelong learner and believes that providing clients with knowledge on their condition not only reduces the threat value and fear but also puts them back into the driver’s seat to manage their own health and wellness recovery. She believes in the resilience of the human body and spirit.

She lives in the beautiful rowing community of Port Dalhousie along with her husband and her 2 loveable dogs. With her dressage loving daughter now married and living in Switzerland, keeping fit and active is necessary if she wishes to enjoy her trips abroad in that mountainous country.

Stephanie has a passion both for Yoga and Pilates. Steph strongly believes that the practice of both Yoga and Pilates is extremely beneficial for mental, physical, emotionally and spiritual health.

She was first introduced to Pilates in her early teens and found that it kept her toned, flexible and complimented her cardio exercises such as running and walking. Later, when she became a Personal Support Worker, Pilates supported her in protecting her back from heavy lifting by using proper form and alignment as well as building the strength necessary to protect her back.

At the beginning of 2020, she completed her 200 hour Yoga Teacher Training with Holy Yoga, a Christian faith-based YTT program that allowed her to incorporate her faith with her yoga practice. In the fall of 2021 she completed her 475 hour training in Comprehensive Pilates.

In her spare time she enjoys hiking and biking and traveling. Fun Fact: she grew up in Botswana, Africa
